Etched PTFE Liner- Catheter Liner
Junkosha® Etched PTFE Liner with high tensile strength and excellent quality
Junkosha Etched PTFE Liner is an excellent material for catheter inner layers. Unlike dispersion PTFE liners, Junkosha Etched PTFE Liners are made using tube extrusion technology, resulting in a constant ultra-thin wall thickness and high tensile strength. The consistent quality remains stable within and between lot variation in the catheter assembly process, leading to higher manufacturing yields.
Features
Junkosha Etched PTFE Liner is produced using proprietary extrusion technology resulting in a solution that is ultra-thin, has uniform walls, is high in tensile strength, and has precise stretch control. A sodium-etched surface enhances bondability, while excellent dimensional accuracy ensures stable processing. Meeting USP Class VI standards, our liner is patented for its high-strength performance.

Benefits
Point 01
Yield Advantage in Catheter Production
Consistency in the stretch tensile strength of PTFE liners is essential for stable catheter lamination. Even under fixed processing conditions, variations in tensile strength can cause uneven elongation, affecting catheter dimensions and performance. By implementing liner–level quality control, manufacturers can prevent downstream defects, reduce material loss and rework, and enhance overall production efficiency and yield. This upstream quality management approach is widely recognized across the catheter industry.
Point 02
Enhanced Catheter Performance

During the deployment of devices such as self-expanding stents, conventional liners may stretch, narrowing the inner diameter and increasing friction. Junkosha’s high–tensile strength PTFE liners maintain structural integrity, enabling smoother device delivery, better axial force transmission, and distal tip responsiveness. They also reinforce low axial strength designs, providing an optimal balance between flexibility and stability.
Point 03
