Features

Heat shrink tubing is used for reflowing material in a catheter assembly process. The only way to remove it from the catheter after shrinking is by ‘skiving’, which not only takes significant time, but is also risky due to the possibility of damaging the catheter in the process.
Junkosha Peelable Heat Shrink Tubing eliminates the need to skive the heat shrink material from the catheter after the reflow process, significantly reducing both the time required to take this step and also the risk of damaging the underlying catheter. Junkosha Peelable Heat Shrink Tubing is available in a wide range of sizes, from ultra small for microcatheters and guidewires up to large diameter constructs for structural heart and peripheral applications. All are available in a wide offering of cut-to-length and slit options.

Customization

Leveraging our proprietary design techniques, we provide high-shrink ratio Peelable Heat Shrink Tubing (up to 1.8:1) with controlled performance characteristics, wall thicknesses and elongation. Our high-shrink ratio 1.8:1 Peelable Heat Shrink Tubing is ideal for manufacturing tapered microcatheter shafts or where tolerance take-up is an issue. Junkosha also provides custom dimensions and other tailored design specifications and tolerances upon request.
In addition, we also provide tubing with optimized shrinkage force and elongation characteristics to improve the manufacturing process.
Junkosha Peelable Heat Shrink Tubing can be cut to length to meet customer requirements or shipped with a pre-slit notch to aid operators’ ease of removal.
