Junkosha Announces Significant Uplift in Enquiries Following PTFE Liner Challenge

Following the launch of Junkosha’s PTFE Liner Challenge earlier this year at MD&M West, we asked the industry “if they really needed a tie layer?”, and we received an interesting response!

Mike Winterling, VP of Business Development for USA and Europe for Junkosha, explains: “Our PTFE Liner Challenge has opened our customers’ eyes to the prospect that they may not need a tie layer. Since the campaign was launched, we have seen a significant uplift in terms of both enquiries and opportunities for our products. Alongside these results, this campaign has had the additional impact of increasing the dialogue around what customers require in the catheter manufacturing process to optimize yields and product performance.”

Junkosha’s Liners are manufactured using the fluoropolymer material PTFE. Thanks to proprietary processing techniques, these PTFE liners provide considerable robustness, are high in tensile strength, have superior consistency in elongation, and are available with ultra-thin walls to deliver increased flexibility and smaller outer diameters for increased catheter real estate. In addition, they incorporate consistent etched surface treatment to provide confidence of adhesion during reflow even in the most demanding tapered catheter designs.
