Junkosha, a pioneer of sophisticated fluoropolymer application technologies across microwave interconnect and medical device sectors, is calling for entries to its Technology Innovator of the Year Awards with the deadline approaching on October 31st, 2025.

The Award, designed to champion the innovative work of an individual or team working in the delivery of products used within Microwave/mmWave technologies or interventional medical procedures, includes a new category this year designed to recognize entries with strong early-stage ideas. By acknowledging early-stage innovation, the new category underscores our commitment to driving sustainable progress through technological advancement. The winner of this new category will receive a total of $25,000 distributed over a four-year period: $10,000 awarded upon recognition of an outstanding invention in the first year, and $15,000 awarded upon recognition of commercial viability in the fourth year. This is in addition to the $25,000 awarded to the winner of the commercial-ready innovation category.

“As we draw to a close on the deadline for this year’s entries, I wanted to personally reach out to all those individuals or teams who are thinking of entering to take the step now,” says Joe Rowan, Chairperson for the Award. “Since its inception in 2021, the spirit of these Awards has remained the same – to enable as many technology innovators as possible through this unique program. With two categories this year to enter, there has never been a better time to achieve recognition for your innovation, whether in its infancy or closer to commercialization,” adds Rowan.

The Junkosha Technology Innovation of the Year Award is open to companies, individuals and organizations who work in the delivery of products within Microwave/mmWave or medical device technologies. Eligible researchers working within a university, research institute or university spin-off company are also encouraged to apply. Submissions will be evaluated by a judging panel of independent, esteemed experts from across the globe.
