Junkosha® Hybrid Channel Tubing

COMPAMED Hall: 8B/Stand: G20-4

November 17th, 2025 – Pioneer in advanced fluoropolymer technology, Junkosha, will showcase its latest Hybrid Channel Tubing solution for endoscopic guide instruments at COMPAMED 2025 in Dusseldorf, Germany. Designed to meet the increasing demand for minimally invasive procedures, this new tubing solution combines high durability with superior flexibility by blending the unique properties of PTFE with the enhanced flexibility of expanded PTFE. The launch marks a milestone for the company, introducing a range of ultra flexible tubing built on the same high-quality and high-performance principles as the Peelable Heat Shrink Tubing and Etched PTFE Liner product lines, further extending Junkosha’s legacy in the development of high-performance fluoropolymer solutions.

Junkosha® Hybrid Channel Tubing features a PTFE inner layer for excellent airtightness and lubricity, and an expanded PTFE outer layer that enhances flexibility and resistance to kinking, even at tight bending radii. This two-layer design maintains the inner lumen diameter and burst resistance which reduces the risk of external pressure-induced collapse. This delivers high durability and flexibility that is needed for smooth, precise manipulation during procedures.

At this years COMPAMED exhibition, Junkosha is introducing this new innovative technology that builds on the success of its clear Peelable Heat Shrink Tubing and thin wall Etched PTFE Liner ranges launched earlier this year. Junkosha’s Peelable Heat Shrink Tubing achieves clarity, eliminates the need for skiving (saving time and labor) and the requirement for the use of blades (enhancing health and safety). It integrates seamlessly with manual processes where consistent peeling performance is key.

Additionally, Junkosha’s thin wall Etched PTFE Liner retains its hallmark combination of high lubricity, consistency in elongation and strong tensile profile, serving as a reliable backbone for advanced catheter systems

“At Junkosha our mission is to continually advance the boundaries of extrusion technology for PTFE processing to meet the evolving needs of medical device manufacturers”, explains Mike Winterling, Chief Operating Officer at Junkosha USA Inc. “The launch of our Hybrid Channel Tubing underscores our commitment to offering a broader range of solutions while maintaining our longstanding technological expertise related to product performance, quality and reliability. We look forward to introducing this new product at this year’s COMPAMED as well as inviting attendees to our booth to discuss their unmet needs”.

The new Hybrid Channel Tubing will be showcased at the Junkosha booth at COMPAMED, Hall: 8B/Stand: G20-4
