How We Are Helping during the COVID-19 Pandemic

In one of the most challenging periods the world has faced, this is a time when we all need to work together to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Primarily, our thoughts are with everyone struggling with both the health and financial aspects of the current pandemic. Our condolences go out to all that have lost loved ones due to the virus. As an organisation we will remain vigilant to any requests for practical help and support that we can offer others during this challenging period. We are particularly mindful of our role in supplying vital medical equipment to healthcare professionals during this time. We can assure all our customers and partners that we will commit maximum resources to fulfilling the increased demands on supplies for the duration of this emergency.

In addition, we would like to praise the courage being shown by every doctor, nurse, care team and support staff who are helping patients to tackle this pandemic. You are all inspirational, and we thank you for your dedication during this challenging time. We would also like to thank everyone, including our associates, partners and wider supply chain, for their help not only in adhering to each country’s stringent guidelines, but also for continuing the manufacture and supply of critical technologies to place the world on the road to recovery.

From our own perspective, in an effort to reduce the risk of exposure to our staff, associates and the communities in which we all operate, we have asked everyone who can work from home to do so, therefore keeping the attendance in our global facilities to a minimum. Where people are working in our factories, we have taken all the necessary precautions to prevent the virus from spreading. All meetings are conducted virtually, and our leadership teams speak regularly in order to make sure that we not only meet the set guidelines, but that we operate in the safest way possible at all times.

Furthermore, we acknowledge that different parts of the world are at different stages of this global pandemic. For example, in certain regions family members are at home due to their workplaces closing; schools have closed causing families to conduct lessons from home; and in many cases people are self-isolating. We understand this is a very difficult time for all of us, which is why we are continually evaluating our procedures, so that when our teams require something from us, we are in the best place to offer the most up-to-date advice.

From a customer or partner perspective, we are communicating regularly with our entire supply chain to make sure products are delivered on time. If any issues arise from the impact of COVID-19, we will always be transparent with the issue and its impact. We believe in being easy to do business with no matter the circumstances we find ourselves in.

This is an unprecedented time, where we need to come together as a global community to help each other at a time of significant need and also to continue to innovate the technologies required to take us forward. We are in this together, and we will overcome this emergency.
