Junkosha showcases 7 Series - Phase Stability Multi Purpose Applications cable designed for defense and aerospace applications at AMTA 2026
Precision-engineered cables address the phase and amplitude stability challenges facing next-generation mmWave radar and large-scale MIMO systems

November 2nd, 2026 – Junkosha Booth 406 – Junkosha, a specialist in advanced fluoropolymer technologies and high-frequency interconnect solutions, will showcase their Junkosha® Microwave/mmWave Coaxial Cable Assembly 7 Series - Phase Stability Multi Purpose Applications cables at the Antenna Measurement Techniques Association (AMTA) 2026 Annual Meeting and Symposium, taking place in Austin, Texas. Incorporating low phase and amplitude deviation and excellent linearity over temperature, the 7 Series Assemblies have been developed to address the demanding interconnect requirements of defense and aerospace communications, where temperature variation can affect signal stability in mmWave radar, phased-array and multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) systems.
Defense and aerospace communication systems are evolving rapidly due to the advancements in semiconductors, sensors and high-frequency system design. Current sensor and communications architectures such as mmWave radar and large-scale MIMO phased arrays are essential enablers that are currently being utilized for high frequency, improved resolution and reliable signal environments. However, operating at these elevated frequencies introduces increasing system complexity where cabling and interconnect solutions must be robust enough to withstand the rigor they are subjected to in any given scenario. These systems depend on precise coordination between multiple RF channels, making consistent phase and amplitude performance essential for reliable measurement, synchronization and system operation.
In answer to these requirements, Junkosha 7 Series Assemblies deliver excellent phase and amplitude stability against temperature fluctuations. Alongside these attributes, Junkosha’s proprietary EPTFE dielectric technology supports consistent performance in both inter and intra batch quality. Operating at frequencies up to 67 GHz, 7 Series Assemblies are engineered to deliver low phase and amplitude deviation and excellent linearity over temperature. Available in cable sizes of 0.120, 0.086, 0.070 and 0.047 inches, the range is designed to support the interconnect requirements of large-scale phased-array radar systems and other phase-sensitive applications.
Discussing the market need, Tomohiro Ogawa, Product Manager for Junkosha explains: “The future of defense and aerospace communications depend not only on advances in radar, sensors and semiconductors, but also on the interconnect technologies that enable these systems to perform consistently. As mmWave and phased-array architectures become more complex, even small variations in signal phase and amplitude can create significant engineering challenges. Junkosha has developed the 7 Series Assemblies to address the demanding performance requirements of phased array radars used in the defense sector.”
Visitors can meet Junkosha at booth 406 during AMTA 2026, taking place from 1–6 November in Austin, Texas.
